I want to buy 5 pounds of Hard Tack candy - usually you can find it at
church bake sales around chrismas time. I belive flavors include
cinnemon, mint and licorice. Hard Tack candy is in very small pieces,
sharp edged (usually) and covered with some powder of some sort.
However I've not been able to locate a place to buy it online.

Hello andyatl2003,

Thank you for your question.

Hard tack candy Is very difficult to find online, but I was able to
locate a few sources for you. Some are included as part of a gift
basket. You might inquire if hard tack candy can be purchased
separately in those instances:

Another researcher sent me a note as I was answering your question
with results she had found for you (thanks, Nellie-bly!):

She found this listing for a store in Virginia that sells the candy.
You could reach them by telephone or fax.

JAMISONS' ORCHARD FARM MARKET

The 2grannys site sells a homemade hard candy that, judging by the
list of ingredients, seems identical to hard tack although it is not
called that.

http://2grannys.com/products.htm

She also notes, hard tack candy is quite easy to make (and fun too).
If you would like a recipe, I'll be happy to post one.

There are numerous hard tack candy recipes I came across online. Do
ask if you would like one.

Search Strategy:

"hard tack" +candy +buy OR order

I trust my research will help to satisfy your sweet tooth. If a link
above should fail to work or anything require further explanation,
please do post a Request for Clarification and I will be pleased to
assist further.

Regards,
