This may be of interest:

Q: WHY IS IT THAT ON ON RACETRACKS ALMOST ALL RACES GO IN A
COUNTERCLOCKWISE DIRECTION?

A: THAT'S A GREAT QUESTION AND IT HAS SEVERAL ANSWERS. THE U.S.A TRACK
AND FIELD ORGANIZATION TELLS US THAT IN 1912 THE INTERNATIONAL
GOVERNING BODY OF TRACK AND FIELD MADE AN ARBITRARY DECISION THAT
RUNNERS WOULD RUN COUNTERCLOCKWISE AND IT'S BEEN THAT WAY EVER SINCE.

NASCAR TELLS US AUTO RACETRACKS WERE SET UP COUNTERCLOCKWISE IN THE
TRADITION OF HORSE RACING, AND THE THOROUGHBRED RACING ASSOCIATION
SAYS AMERICAN RACETRACKS WERE FIRST SET COUNTERCLOCKWISE IN 1780
BECAUSE AMERICAN BREEDERS WERE STILL ANGRY AT THE BRITISH, WHOSE HORSE
RACING TRACKS RAN CLOCKWISE.

To add to the mystery, if I remember correctly from my college physics
classes, most of the planets and moons in our solar sytem spin
counterclockwise on their axis and also orbit counterclockwise. It's
just the way of the universe, I suppose.

We (& the suns & planets) do not revolve clockwise any more than counter clockwise.

It all depends on which pole is defined (Arbitrarily) as UP

If we define the South pole as UP, our planet revolves colckwise

Some time ago I had read about why supermarkets has their entrance
doors on the right and exits on the left... The article claimed that
humans have a tendency to go counterclockwise.

It's probably fairly simple. Maybe we go counter-clockwise for the
same reason we drive on the right side of the road. British horse
racing goes clockwise and they drive on the left. May date back to
jousting rules.
