When I hit "reply to all" in MS Outlook, is there any way I can make
it NOT include my email address as one of the people to reply to?

Weird, I just tried it in Outlook, it put every other name in to the
To: list except mine. Perhaps your email was listed twice or two of
your email addresses were in the To: list?

No...I was sure to check this. Also there are no mailing lists of any
kind involved. It's about the simplest case possible:

X sends an email to Y and Z (Z being myself)
Z hits 'reply to all'
to To: field is populated with X, Y, and Z (where obviously I would
only want X and Y)

I have friends who this happens to, and some that it doesn't. One
friend said it only happened when the list of email addresses included
some that weren't in her company (i.e. her exchange server, I assume).

This leads me to think that there is either an option (impossible to
find, as most in Outlook are) to control this, or it's a bug in my
version.

Thanks for your help.

Hi bhanulak-ga,
A few more clarifications would help us all in our efforts to solve
your problem :
   - Are you using Exchange Server ? Which version?
   - Do you have multiple accounts setup on your Outlook ? Does this
problem occur with your default account or only with your other
accounts?
   - What services do you have installed under the Tools > Services
menu item ?
Thank You,
Theta-ga
:-)

Is your Outlook a Client of an Exchange Server?
If so, your email account may be a part of a Distribution group that
the reply was sent to.

bhanulak,

The reason for this is more than likely because you have multiple
accounts set up in Outlook. When you do a reply-all and Outlook
attempts to filter out your email address, it appears to only look at
your *default* account for your address, which is not necessarily the
account through which you received the mail. I see this all the time
myself, and am constantly irritated by it. You can test this by
simply setting your default account to the one you received the email
on, and do the reply-all. Your email vanishes. Of course now, if you
do a reply-all on your *other* account, then your email will show up
there.

Don't worry about the $2.
