I want to buy a hat in the style of a baseball cap that is covered
ENTIRELY with beads, not all one color. I would like either a store
within 90-minute drive from where I live (NYC is ok), or an internet
site, where I can see several (at least 20) different patterns to
choose from with a maximum price of $50. I live in Branchville NJ.

I don't know whether "beaded" would include sequins, but I've found a
site that has fifteen different patterns of sequined baseball caps.

Here are a couple of cute samples, a rainbow mosaic and a leopard
print:

Would this sort of thing be of interest?

Thank you for choosing my question. By 'beaded' I mean specifically
beads, not sequins. On the internet I've been able to find sequined
caps, and I've been able to find caps that have a few beads, but no
baseball style caps made entirely of beads. I know they exist, because
I bought two of them two years ago at a flea market in Pennsylvania.
The woman who sold them to me is no longer at that flea market, and
unfortunately I don't have the hats anymore, so I can't look inside
for any manufacturer information. (I gave them away as gifts).

Hi Pinkfreud! The site you showed me looks like it might be nice, and
I'm running out of time. (The hat is to be a gift). If you're not able
to find beaded baseball caps, then I may accept sequin baseball caps
as sufficient answer to my question, so long as that site has at least
20 different patterns (not solids) for me to choose from, for under
$50 as I stated in my original question. How does that sound? Then I
could repost my original question and allow the full research time for
that, yet still be able to buy the gift I need now.

Hello again, Rikki! To use baseball terminology, I "struck out" in
trying to locate fully-beaded caps. However, there are lots of cute
patterns available in caps that are covered with sequins.

Here is a site that offers sequin-covered baseball caps for $14.99,
with 85 (!) different patterns to choose from (in addition to 19 solid
colors):

Flagmania: Sequin Baseball Caps 1
http://flagmania.net/seqbascap1.html

Flagmania: Sequin Baseball Caps 2
http://flagmania.net/baseballcaps2.html

(To place an order with Flagmania, select the name of the design you
want by using the pull-down menu at the bottom of the page, between
the words 'OPTIONS' and 'Order'. Then click "Order".)

Another site with $14.99 sequined baseball caps:

Bayou Threads: Mardi Gras Market
http://bayouthreads.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/baseball.html

The only all-over beaded baseball cap I was able to find is a
hand-made cap that is available on special order for $50. See "Beaded
Cap" here:

Native Pride Clothing: Hats and Caps
http://www.nativeprideclothing.com/hatcap.html

To locate these caps, I started with a standard Google Web Search,
then turned to Google's delightful new product search engine, Froogle:

Google Web Search: "beaded" + "baseball cap"

Froogle Search: sequin baseball cap
http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=sequin+baseball+cap

I hope one or more of the sequined caps catches your fancy. These
would make great gifts, and with your $50 budget you could get three
of them!

If anything is in need of explanation, or if any of the links do not
function, please request clarification, and I'll be glad to offer
further assistance.

Best wishes,
pinkfreud

I'm sorry to have disappointed you. Often an active Researcher, while
searching for information to help one customer, will come across
something that would be useful for a previous customer. If, in the
future, I should come across a beaded, patterned hat during my
journeys on the Web, would you like me to post the information here?
