Hi!
I have just installed winxp professional, version 2002 on the clean
disk.(I think this version is without SP1 and I don't want to install
it at the moment). Then I installed driver for modem without any
problem but I can not install winxp drivers for graphic card (Hercules
with ATI 9000pro chip) and Logitech mouse. If I choose "Reinstal
driver" then "Install from a list or specific location" and select the
folder with driver, I don't have OK button as an option (it's not
possible to click on OK button). And if I choose "Install the software
automatically" he can not find it.What could be the reason for this
and what is the solution?
Best regards
Nik

Hi nikenn-ga,

Did you download the ATI drivers from the ATI website or using the
ones include with WinXP from Microsoft? For Logitech mouse, you
should be able to use the built-in drivers or Microsoft drivers.

Hi mrbuzz,
I used drivers I got on cds which come with Hercules graphic card and
Logitech mouse.I can use built-in mouse driver but then I don't have
additional features. So, they are original and made for winxp.

nikenn...

Even if you don't have an 'OK' or 'Open' button,
you should be able to accomplish the same thing by
double-clicking the file you want to use. Please try
this and let me know if it works.

Hi sublime1,
No it doesn't work. But if I click on this folder with right mouse
button, I can open this folder in another window and see that it
contains winxp driver.

It seems that the "folder with driver" is not the correct folder (at
least it does not contain the driver for Windows XP). Windows looks
for the correct .inf file in the folder, and enables the OK button
only if it can find it.

Bio-ga is correct. You are referring to a specific driver
or group of drivers, but Windows is looking for an inf.
file. Have you downloaded the latest driver from Hercules?

and Logitech?
