I have a database (Access 2000) where I have embedded an image into a
report (company logo). When printing the report, if I print in normal
quality the image appears, but if I change to DRAFT quality the image
does not appear. I'd like to conserve ink by printing out my reports
in draft mode, but need to figure out why the image does not appear.
I have tried embedding and linking the image. I have also tried
various formats, including .jpg, .gif and .bmp....although I don't
think that the format is the problem since the image prints fine in
normal quality mode.
I'm looking for help asap to this problem.

Hi Freakfarm-ga
Most of the Microsoft products (ie., Access, Word, etc.) is first
dependant on your printer's setup in your Operating System.
It would help to know what your printer is and what your operating
system is in order to figure out exactly what you need to set in order
for it to print graphics while in draft mode.
With a bit more information, we'll be in a better position to help.
Yours ever so,
Serenata

Hi again, Freakfarm-ga ~
I'm posting this as a Request for Clarification and not an answer,
because troubleshooting the problem may be more difficult than I
originally thought.
Checking the Microsoft Knowledge Base -
There are some known issues with Access 2000 and certain HP Desk Jet
printers in preview and/or draft mode ... the graphics don't print or
end up in some cell or location totally off the page.
Checking HP's Support for the CP1160 -
There are some reported problems with a USB connection or infrared
printing.
I'm sorry I'm not much help here, but three questions come to mind:
1. You have installed the printer using HP's drivers for XP?
2. Does the graphic show up in the Print Preview page?
3. In other programs, such as Word or Power Point or Excel, can you
print graphics in draft mode?
That may help eliminate or pinpoint the problem. If you can print
graphics in draft mode in Word or Excel - it would point to a problem
within Access (and they have noted an occasional problem with Access
and Graphics).
There may be no easy fix and you may have to print the page with the
graphic in normal mode.
Sorry I wasn't more help,
Serenata

prints fine in draft in other Office programs..guess it's just an Access problem.
Really wish they had a fix for this.
