Hello Perrye,

I can't be sure, but I have some references that appear to have the
information you need, but I need some feedback before giving you a
good answer.

Please confirm that the following picture is of your turntable.
  http://www.compassnet.com/concept/tables/1015.htm

This next page provides a good summary on how to determine which
stylus you have and has some removal instructions.
  http://www.turntablebelts.com/stylusseeker.htm
This company may be able to provide a replacement cartridge.

One thing it does not mention is that the cartridge / stylus may be
locked in. My Dual 510 (see next picture) has a locking mechanism -
push the handle on the right of the cartridge from front to back to
release the cartridge.

You may have a similar mechanism, but I can't tell from the picture.

If this helps, please let me know so I can provide a proper answer. If
not, I may be able to get you a better solution with a more thorough
description of the stylus and arm assembly.

The picture of the 1015 looks exactly like the one in our 'radiogram'.
I do have a replacement stylus, LP.S. I don't have an instruction
manual & can't fathom out how the needle goes in to the cartridge. Not
so great eyesight doesn't help, either!

Hello Perrye,

Hmm. If I understand correctly, you have the replacement stylus (and
one is not in the current cartridge). From the instructions at
turntablebelts.com, you should just be able to push in and/or up the
stylus to fit into the cartridge. The where and how may be a little
difficult to tell (especially when trying to not remove the arm).

A set of pictures that may be able to help are at:
http://www.turntablebelts.com/ceramic.htm (older types of stylus /
cartridge)
  http://www.turntablebelts.com/allneedles1.htm (100-368)
  http://www.turntablebelts.com/allneedles2.htm (369-668)
  http://www.turntablebelts.com/allneedles3.htm (669-749)
  http://www.turntablebelts.com/allneedles4.htm (750-912)
These show a series of larger pictures or drawings of each type of
cartridge or stylus. The latter pages are ordered by part number - the
stylus should have the number listed or match based on shape.

Hello Maniac:
I have found two new 'clues' on the part that actually holds the needle.
On one side is "Asstatic" & on the other side "704" or possibly "794"
Perhaps these details will help.
Thank you,
perrye

PS I'll be off line from Monday until Thursday morning.
