This is actually more than one question, though all are related. Where can I find records of Individual soldiers who served in the British forces during the Revolutionary war? Where can I find records relating to a British POW camp called Prison Island, about 40 miles upstream from Montreal in the St.Lawrence River? How can I find out about two captives, once named Stacey and one named Phillips who were held by the Caughnawaga Mohawks near Montreal. Both were captive at the village as of 1780 and had been adopted into the tribe for several years at that time. | |
