mankempoon,
Thanks for your question. In researching Credicorp, I came across
several things that I think may interest you. First and foremost, the
Gold Card they are offering is not a credit card. It is what is known
as a membership card. You use this card to purchase merchandise
through their catalog. You are paying the fee as a membership fee to
be able to purchase items from their catalog. If that is the type of
program you are looking for, then you can utilize them. If you are
under the impression they are going to give you a Gold Visa or
Mastercard, which it appears from reading it appears they are
advertising, then do not send your money.
Furthermore, in searching the internet, I found the following
information:
CrediCorp
http://www.bogusoperation.com/operators/feedback/f_credicorp.html
Credicorp Inc., Misleading Credit Card Offer
http://ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff4812.htm
CrediCorp, Inc., Dallas, TX aka CreditCorp
http://www.webbbox.com/business/c/creditcorp.htm
Also, the Dallas Better Business Bureau issued a warning back in 1997
regarding CrediCorp:
Exercise Caution When Choosing A Credit Card Issuing Company
http://www.bbb.org/alerts/credicorp.asp
The bottom line is this: If you are in full understanding that it is
NOT a Visa or Mastercard, but rather a catalog membership club, then
you will be fine if you feel, after viewing their catalog online, that
the fee is worth the membership.
Thanks again for your question. If you need any additional
clarification, please let me know prior to rating my answer.
Regards,
-THV
