Like the question, am a very biased industry person but say "NO WAY". Education balances the need for practical knowledge and knowledge to be applied or delivered for non-work purposes. In addition to Industry not speaking with one voice (Can you imagine getting Microsoft and Oprah/Dr. Phil to agree on content to be taught?) much of what is needed in life and to function as a citizen, neighbor, parent or voter would fall through the cracks. Taking a small segment of your question, people always ask "Should MBA recruiters have more impact on what the B-Schools teach given that they are the customers?" This area might provide some manageable discussion on your subject. Very interesting, look forward to responses. Thanks. |

Also, researchers might shy away from this since it is not really a fact based question, but invitation for discussion. That being said, you might want to define what you are actually asking them to get. A good thing might be a list of sites, Pros and Cons, discussing the topic. I reread it, and would have trouble getting excited about it since it is purely opinion based and they have no idea when you'd close it. Just a suggestion. |
