Hi paulee: Actually, the piece that Gere plays in this famous scene from Pretty Woman was written (and performed) by Gere himself! Gere is an accomplished pianist. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the name of this composition - it may very well not have one. Sources: Destination Hollywood Tribute to Pretty Woman URL: http://www.destinationhollywood.com/movies/prettywoman/funfeatures_content.shtml Quote: "Richard Gere was really playing the piano immediately preceding the love scene on top of the piano. In fact, the piece was was playing was one of his own compositions."
