Question ID: 158892
Every time I boot my Windows 98 PC, an icon labeled “Live Shows”
appears on my desktop and asks me if I want to make $7/minute phone
calls. I found it in a new folder called ecommerce. I delete the
icon and the folder, but it reappears each time I boot. How do I get
rid of it?

Hi charlie99,

Have you tried Ad Aware?

You can download it here:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

It should find all the hidden files/folders for you and give you the
option to delete them. Use it cautiously - you don't want to delete
anything important.

Let me know how it goes -
Good luck,
hummer

Go into Control Panel/ Add/Remove Programs and look for something that
sounds like it would be it, and uninstall it.
