Question ID: 159147
I have a clock called a "Falling Globe Clock" made by Twaites & Reed
for the Franklin Mint around 1981. Where can I get spare parts
(gears) for this clock?

Dear bob11,

Since Twaites & Reed is located in Great Britain, it is not very
likely that any of the special parts they use for making their clocks
are available in the USA. Maybe you would like to get contact
information for the manufacturer? If anybody can help you, it's the
company that made the clock. Please let me know if contact information
for Twaites & Reed would also meet your needs.

Best regards,

Ooh, this is an interesting item I have never seen before:

Item 1003
"A falling globe clock circa 1981, the globe case engraved with an
outline of the map of the world and commemorating the 400 year
anniversary of Sir Francis Drake's circumnavigation of the world, the
revolving chapter ring displays the time with a silver pointer,
suspended from a foliate brass potence, the backboard inlaid with a
brass plaque, Thwaite & Reed London, No.4057, for the Franklin Mint,
length 80cm, globe diameter 12cm. $200-400."
