The article you are looking for is called "Music to My Ears". I
managed to find the title thanks to a comprehensive listing of
Asimov's essays on this site:

A Guide to Isaac Asimov's essays
http://www.asimovonline.com/oldsite/essay_guide.html

"Music to My Ears
    Subject: musical scale
First Published In: Oct-67, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science
Fiction

    * 1968 Science, Numbers, and I"

"Music to my Ears"
http://www.asimovonline.com/oldsite/Essays/arts.html#Essay108

This personal website confirms that "Music to my Ears" is included in
"Science, Numbers and I":
http://homepage.mac.com/jenkins/Asimov/Books/Book088.html

More confirmation that the subject matter is the musical scale in this
newsgroup message:
"'Music To My Ears', that talks about how the scale got to be the way
it is."

"Music to my Ears" is still available in second-hand or library copies
of "Science, Number and I". There are plenty of second-hand copies
available from Alibris:

If that long link fails to work, go to the main Alibris search page
and enter the title in the search box:

I hope this helps. Please let me know if anything needs clarification.

Hello again

Unfortunately the article "Music to my Ears" is not available on the
internet.
To read it, you need to get hold of the book "Science, Numbers and I",
which is the collection of Asimov's essays including the article on
musical scales.

If you can't find it in a library, you can buy it second-hand from
$4.95, plus shipping, at the Alibris website. Shipping costs vary
according to where you live and how fast you want the book to arrive.

Alibris shipping charges page

Here's an example of one of the 1980 paperback editions which you can
buy for $4.95:

The other Alibris links in the first part of this answer will help you
find other sellers, or hardback editions if you prefer.

Good luck - Leli
