What brand is your television?

Also, from what store/business did you purchase it? This information
may assist a Researcher in successfully answering your question. I
have located places that accept trade-ins.

The television is a panasonic model number TH-42PWD5UY. I purchased
it from the plasmahouse, an online site and I've had it for a month.
It has resolution of 480 and I want to get a HDTV. Thanks

Greetings Bredyb! I am currently awaiting word from email queries I
sent to three companies located in my research for you and I am
waiting to hear back from them. I drilled down the results through
ten pages of my keyphrase searches. The sites I discovered and sent
emails to are:

http://www.avdeals.com/infocusprojectors/x1.htm
http://www.rifetechnology.com/contact.htm
http://www.holmaudio.com/productLines.htm

In addition, I spoke via phone to a gentleman named Stan Watkins at
AVHIFI online store (toll-free 877-861-9202) at
http://www.avhifi.com/asp/prodtype.asp?prodtype=183. Stan said they
normally don't do trade ups except on their own merchandise but he
would be willing to speak with you and make you an offer for a trade
up from them. He also stated that you would probably "take a bit of a
hit on the trade in" and he was very gracious. I told him he might be
receiving a call from you and I suggest you phone him.

Going to your original purchase source, I reached a gentleman named
Angelo at PlasmaHouse by phoning 866-234-9924, extension 1 (this
number was located on the page
http://www.plasmahouse.com/contact.asp?CartId=96-ACCWARE-93022RMOSA416
and the hours are listed as Monday - Thursday: 10:00AM - 7:30PM EST,
Friday: 10:00AM - 4:00PM EST, Saturday - Closed, Sunday: 11:00AM -
4:00PM EST) and I queried him about their trade up policy. Angelo
said PlasmaHouse offers a trade up policy and, after I gave him the
details of your question here, he would like to speak with you
regarding a trade up. I suggest you phone him at your earliest
convenience to find out what price he may offer on a trade-up.

As my email queries are answered, I will post them here in the
Clarifications. I appreciate your patience in waiting for the
additional information.

EMAIL UPDATE:

I didn't receive a reply to any of my three emails today and I hope to
hear from them tomorrow. Thanks again for your continued patience.

Still no response yea or nay from the three emails. I have resent
them in case there was some freaky email glitch.

Well, day three and still no response from my three emails, even
though I resent them. I hope AVHIFI or PlasmaHouse is able to provide
you with a decent trade up price. Even though I previously drilled
down through many pages of results, I'll continue to research further
to see if I can locate additional companies interested in trade ups.
I'll keep you posted.

Clarification of Answer by journalist-ga on 15 Feb 2003 20:27 PST
48 more hours and still no response. I am endeavoring to locate more
sources for you and it seems that AVHIFI and PlasmaHouse are still the
only two possibilities. Be assured that I continue to search for
more.
