Georgie Woods, like Hy Lit, was a Philly radio legend. He worked for
black radio station WDAS. He may have been born around 1922.  He's
still alive. I need his date & yr. of birth.

On May 11, 1993, Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell declared it Georgie
Woods Day in honor of Woods' long radio career and civil rights
activism. A Philadelphia Tribune article details these events and
mentions that May 11 was also Woods' birthday.
