Pendelton,
Let me apologize in advance for the table below, for no matter how
carefully I create them, they never seem to format properly after they
are posted. If you have any trouble reading it, just let me know with
a "Request for Clarification" and I'll rework it.
Anyway, the data you are looking for can be found at a nifty site that
I use often. A group called "Choose Maryland" has an online research
tool that one can use to compare a lot of demographic and economic
statistics from any or all states. I used their tool at:
http://researchtools.choosemaryland.org/Comparison/index.asp?FA=2
to create the table below, which I then imported as a spreadsheet
file. You can do the same, and add other statistics as well, if
you're interested. If you have any questions about all this, just let
me know.
Cheers.

Data from the U.S. Bureau of Census
Why they're so young in Utah is an open question, but the rest of the
country is pretty even-Steven, age-wise.
There was no search strategy for this answer, as I already knew of the
site. |
