on a number of variables such as pedigree, show potential, geographic
location, and breeder costs.

I suppose it was too difficult to get more than a general range for
prices. Attribution for some would have been helpful for negotiation
purposes.. e.g. "Offspring for 2002 Top Sire/dam in America
demanded...."  As it is its hard to argue why a mid-quality kennel
demands same prices w/o more info.
