I own some AT&T four-line office phones. The model numbers are 854
and 954. These two models are compatible with each other. Now I need
to buy at least six more phones that are compatible with my current
ones. I only want to buy new phones, not refurbished ones, and I
would prefer if they were the 954 model or newer. Unfortunately, it
seems that any of the newer AT&T phones are not compatible with the
954, and that AT&T has stopped producing the 954. Perhaps there is a
new AT&T phone which is compatible, and I would buy that as long as I
know for sure that it is compatible with what I already have. I am
looking for a few places that sell new 954's, or else new compatible
phones, at a price of around $100 apiece.

Hi,

I can see why this phone has been hard to find. It apparently is no
longer being manufactured, so you have to get phones from old (and
presumably diminishing) stock.

Office Depot says it has the phones in stock. It is item number
345363.
http://www.officedepot.com/shop/catalog/sku.asp?ID=345363&LEVEL=SK

So does Hot Buys Electronics:
http://www.hotbuyselectronics.com/att_att954_telephones.htm

Also USA Phone Line:
http://usaphoneline.com/home.html?target=MultiznLine3_or_More.html

I "ordered" the phones on each of the above sites (up until I reached
the point where I had to enter credit card information) and had no
problem, so I assume the phones were in stock as stated.

Here are two other possibilities:

Blue Line Communications (although it's not clear if this page has
been updated in some time):
http://www.bluecomm.com/Phones/MultiLine/ATT954.htm

High Tech Store (although the page hasn't been updated since last
year):
http://www.hightech-store.com/multiline.html

I found Office Depot using metashopping sites (sites that comparison
shop for you). On most of them the phone wasn't listed, although
these two had it:
http://www.bizrate.com
http://shopper.cnet.com/

Here are other price comparison engines:
http://directory.google.com/Top/Home/Consumer_Information/Price_Comparisons/?tc=1

I also performed Google searches for a variety of combinations:
://www.google.com/search?hl=es&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=at%26t954

Something you might also check out if these don't help is to see if
the GE 29451 model is the same as the AT&T 954. It looks exactly the
same, and its description is the same. I suspect it's the same model
with a different nameplate on it, although I can't prove it.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Hi,

Seems like the whole series of phones has been discontinued. Please
see http://www.telephonesuperstore.com/Business/Att954r.htm fore more
info.

Tommy
