Hi luvguv,

These are the superstitions/omens I was able to find... However from
my own personal experience...my parents had a bird fly into the house
and all it caused was a bunch of commotion trying to get it out! :)

OK... here we go:

Are some or all birds signs of omens?

[edited]

"In the end, whether a bird is or is not an omen really depends on the
person, not the bird. The wood storks of the Netherlands became omens
of good fortune and fertility when they chose the chimney of a
particular house for their nest and gave rise to the legend of the
stork delivering new babies to lucky and deserving parents. In my
view, the birds were just looking for a decent place to nest."

"Large flocks of starlings have been known to join with grackles and
blackbirds at certain times of the year and can cause serious problems
to agriculture.

The biggest issue with starlings in urban and suburban areas has to do
with their nesting habits. Starling nests built into any house cavity
can accumulate material that is unsightly and could represent a fire
hazard. Starlings do not remove material from old nests but keep
adding year after year to what is there.

Starlings cause complaints by getting into trash, competing with
desirable birds at feeders and getting stuck in chimneys and metal
flues."
