I would like you to identify the world's top real estate brokers. 
Specifically, I am looking for a list of real estate brokers who cater
to the world's wealthiest people and handle the most expensive
properties.  The list you provide will be used to develop a mailing
list for a marketing campaign.  I don't need a whole lot of
commentary, but I do need mailing addresses (or links that include
mailing addresses).  I am more focused on identifying the top real
estate agencies than the top individual brokers, although either would
work for my purposes.

The list should be truly global - every continent should be
represented.  Please be sure to include brokers from obvious hangouts
of the wealthy (e.g., Monaco).  Within the U.S., I am looking for a
list that is national (includes high-end brokers from across the
country).  When you are doing the U.S. part of the search, please be
sure to identify at least five premier firms from New York City and
five from Boston.

It is not important to me that the list be exactly right, in a
scientific sense.  I don't, for instance, need a rank ordered list of
the globe's premier 100 real estate brokers (though if you happened to
find such a list, I think you would have answered the question).  I do
need names and contact information for at least 30 firms that are
plausible, in terms of being well established in this niche.

Many of the larger luxury brokers have subsidiaries around the world. 
Do you want me to list just the headquarters operations, or the key
sub-offices as well?

The reason I ask is, for a luxury broker like Sotheby's International
Realty, listing their sub-offices alone -- which are all over the
world -- will get you pretty much the 30-odd addresses you're looking
for.  I'm guessing you want more diversity than that in the answer,
and I'd appreciate whatever guidance you can give me as to how best
achieve it.

Well, with almost three feet of snow here in Washington DC, I've had
some extra time today to research your question.  My listing of luxury
real estate brokers is below, but I'd like to start first with three
items of importance:

1.  Very few firms turned up from Japan and other Asian countries, or
from South America.  I will keep looking for these tomorrow, and post
more if I find them.

2.  I didn't want to force the NYC, Boston thing -- I've included some
of the top luxury firms for each city, as well as for other areas like
the Hamptons, and Cape Cod.  If you feel there aren't enough
representative listings for these two cities, just let me know.

3.  This question is not finished until you are satisfied with the

perfect.

1.  Yes, I am looking for a diverse group of companies - I view an

2.  Can you get any more listings for the Middle East?  I see one
listing for Israel.  Can you identify any firms that cater to wealthy
Arabs?

Glad to hear the preliminary list looked good.  

Yep. DC has come to a complete halt with one of the largest 1-day
snowstorms on record.  We have about three feet in front of our house,
plus two more feet that slid off the roof, so to get out the front
door is a bit like that old movie, The Great Escape.  But we stocked
up on candy and videos, so life is good (almost "luxurious" you might
say).

Here's some additions to the list.  Middle East pickings are still a
bit thin, but there's not much out there that's public information
(and for some strange reason, Boston is kind of the same way --
something to do with the Brahmins, I suppose!).  Let me know, though,
if you want me to look for any areas of the world in more detail.  I'm
happy to take a crack at it.

may want to mine these contacts for your list.
