I have a MS Explorer 6.0 dilemma. Very recently my cable modem-fast
browser has slowed to a crawl for uploads and EVERY new webpage visit
incurrs the following ERROR MESSAGE pop up:
Runtime Error Occurs
Do you want to Debug?
Line: 245
Object Expected
An explanation is ok but a remedy is sought to:
1) End Error Messages
2) Resolve browser deaccelerated web uploads
Thanks in advance. |

Do you use Norton Internet Security?
Also, what is your operating system? If it's WinXP or Win2000, are
you logging in as an administrator?

Hello Wetinterests-ga ~
Runtime errors are not always easy to troubleshoot, but it would help
to know:
1. What OS you're using and what system are you running it on? CPU and
RAM information will help, too.
2. You said "MS Explorer" - I assume you mean MS Internet Explorer,
and not worrying about Windows Explorer?
3. Are you actually trying to upload using your browser? Or are you
using FTP software for uploading?
4. What software have you recently installed which might create
runtime errors (such as: Visual Studio, java scripts, etc.)?
Armed with some better information, those Google Answers Researchers
with technical knowledge may be able to help you.
Yours ever so,
Serenata

The OS is WIN XP
Using Zone Alarm & Norton SystemWorks
Excuse use of language. Not actually "uploading new web pages" simply
surfing and getting error messages.

I was looking around and found a referenc to a problem like yours. It
suggested uninstalling Norton to see if it fixes the problem. Then,
after the runtime errors stop occuring (if this is indeed the cause),
it suggested reinstalling it.
From my experience, you need to be careful with a lot of Norton-style
products that seek to "optimize" or add features to Windows in that it
makes Windows do things it wasn't really intended always to do and can
cause a slew of problems if things aren't quite right.
