I need images or photos of what the exterior of a lower to middle

Southside of Chicago.

Dear tferrieri,

I have been able to locate a number of photographs dating from 1941.
This is, of course, 27 years before 1968. But the pictures are
explicitly showing buildings inhabited by "negroes", both lower and
middle class. Would that be of any interest for you?

Regards,
Scriptor

I am designing a set for a new play called "Birdie Blue" by Cherl
West. The characters in the play live in a house on a dead end street
in the south side of Chicago in 1968. They are a middle to low income
black family. I need to know what the exterior of the house would
look like. The house should have some sort of porch, as that is
central to the action of the play, they should either live in a row
type house or at the very least on the first floor of a house. They
have lived in the house since about 1958. I need photos or images to
use as reference and research as part of my design process. I am on a
very tight deadline, as a matter of fact I am a week behind in the
process. I have had no luck myself with this search so I am counting
on you for help on this! HELP!!!!

For ideas on set design, it might be very helpful for you to rent and
view the film "A Raisin in the Sun," which is set in southside Chicago
in the 1960s.
