Many years ago I owned a solo album by Tony Williams (lead singer of
The Platters). I can't find any reference to him on any of the music
sites I have entered. I don't remember the title of the album but I
know one of the songs was "You've Got the Magic Touch". Any info re
the solo albums he may have made would be appreciated.

Hi alex365-ga,

It appears that Tony Williams had three solo albums: "Tony Williams
Sings His Greatest Hits" (1961), "Magic Touch of Tony" (1962), and "A
Girl Is a Girl Is a Girl" (1969).

The tracks for "Sings His Greatest Hits" are listed on this page:

"Tony Williams sings his greatest hits (Reprise, 1961)"
Engine Studios: Vinyl Preservation Project
http://www.engine-studios.com/vpp/Singers/Pages/SDavisBway_TWilliamsGreatest.html

And here are two pages that mention his three albums:

"Tony Williams"

"Soul Groups" [about halfway down the page, under "Tony Williams"]

Scotty, you are a marvel. The only searches for Tony Williams that I
did only threw up a drummer of the same name. Just a small tip as I
think my account is running low. Not to worry, there will be more
questions later. Must try to think of a really hard one!!
