Hi sleep, Interesting question! We slept for many years on two beds put together and so I know exactly what you are talking about! Two steps are required to make your combined bed comfortable once and for all. The first step is to obtain a "doubler". Asking at your local bed/mattress outlet might turn up a doubler, but if not, here are two available online. Comfort House: Twin Doubler Bed Doubling System: http://www.comforthouse.com/comfort/playhouses.html China Horse: Twin Doubler: http://www.business.com/bdcframe.asp?ticker=&src=http%3A//rd.business.com/index.asp%3Fbdcz%3Di.l.l.ml.e%26bdcr%3D3%26bdcu%3Dhttp%253A//www.chinahorse.com/%26bdcs%3D377E07DB-FF1D-4F7D-99EE-DFE9ACDE2294%26bdcf%3D52819945-D292-11D3-82D0-00C04F01021C%26bdcp%3D%26partner%3Dbdc%26title%3DChina%2520Horse&back=http%3A//www.google.ca/search%3Fq%3Dcache%3AMdr7KftzWugC%3Awww.business.com/directory/retail_and consumer_services/hospitality_and_lodging/equipment_and_supplies/bedding/+%2522make+two+beds+into+one%2522%26hl%3Den%26ie%3DUTF-8&path=/directory/retail_and_consumer_services/hospitality_and_lodging/equipment_and_supplies/bedding The second step is to obtain a mattress topper. A foam pad from Walmart's will probably serve ok, but here is a list of other alternatives. I would suggest putting a memory foam mattress pad topper on the bed for a really comfortable sleep surface. My wife and I love ours. Go to http://sleepwarehouse.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=2, they have a lot of information on memory foam and mattress pad toppers. I checked out Healthy Foundations, but www.sleepwarehouse has better pricing and great reviews on this Amazon link (but better pricing direct through sleepwarehouse)http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/home.html/102-8234976-9752933?%5Fencoding=UTF8&asin=&marketplaceSeller=&seller=A15RJBF8YAHS4P. Good luck! |
