Thanks for your interest in helping with my question. A new law was
put into effect in Colorado on January 1st, 2003, which stipulates
that any person who was paroled on or after July 1st 1989, must do a
manadatory parole of one year in that state, without revocation. I
would like to read the language of that new law, specifically to see
whether a person who was paroled in June, 2002, then, after violating
parole, is back in the system to serve out his parole time, which is
three months. Does this person fall under this new law since he was
paroled before it went into effect? I hope this helps please let me
know if you need more information. I would be most interested in
reading the language of that new law known as the "Community
Corrections Law," but cannot find it because it is so new. Thanks!
