Hi uzzz-ga,

I have been doing some research and have located websites where you
can get patterns/pattern books to buy.

They are:

http://srd.yahoo.com/S=2766679:WS1/R=1/K=african+violet+embroidery+patterns/H=0/T=1045644370/F=d50e5b5f78926697de0c0ab571fad413/*http://www.jdr-be.com/RWpg2.htm
http://www.petalplay.com/cgibin/webc.cgi/Workshops.html
http://www.ggcreations.com.au/althea/books/eapp/petal.html
http://www.jdr-be.com/RWpg2.htm

As a needlework person myself, I became creative in getting patterns.
Sometimes the patterns that I wanted were not available or if it was,
it was pretty expensive. So what I did was to take printings from
any source that can be located whether it be from cards, magazines,
etc. and I took a printout and went to a copy machine and blew it up
to the size that I wanted.

So here is a few websites where I located different African Violet
plants. You could take a print out and copy it to the size that you
want or you can highlight areas of the print out that you want and use
Liquid Paper to white out the sections that you don't want and copy it
to make it look like what you want. You can be creative.

Hi uzzz,

I'm sure jeanwil won't mind if I add what I have found to her
substantial list. I had worked on your original question, "Embroidery
patterns required" #162913, which is now expired, and have just now
finally received an answer to an enquiry that I had emailed to:

Thistle Needleworks, Inc.
140 Glastonbury Boulevard
Glastonbury, CT 06033
860-633-8503
860-633-1851 fax
800-NDLWRKS (800-635-9757) out-of-state orders
www.ThistleNeedleworks.com

Here is their response:

"We have three cross stitch patterns for African Violets:

#2691 -- African Violets II -- $3.50 (HDC LD-007)
#17439 -- African Violets -- $5.00 (HDC 96-282)
#19017 -- African Violet Blossoms -- $2.50 (HDC 97-1062)

To view them, go to:
http://www.hoffmandis.com/
Click on "Online Reference Catalogue"
Click on "Keyword/Item# Search"
Type "African Violet" in the keyword field or search by Item #.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
hummer
