Hello.

I believe that the author is Mary Jane Sherfey, M.D.

Dr Sherfey's theories on evolutionary sexuality were published in her
book, "The Nature and Evolution of Female Sexuality" (1972).

The book is widely available at libraries. See the catalog entry at
the Library of Congress:
http://catalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?v3=1&DB=local&CMD=010a+69016458&CNT=10+records+per+page

The book is also available from numerous used book dealers such as
those listed on Alibris.com:
http://www.alibris.com/search/search.cfm?qtit=Nature%20Evolution%20of%20Female&qauth=Sherfey%2CMary&qsort=p

Apparently, some of Dr Sherfey's theories were also published in an
article in the January 1966 issue of the Journal of The American
Psychoanalytic Association. This article is mentioned on
Lifevistas.com:
http://www.lifevistas.com/women.htm

Note, however, that Sherfey's 1972 book apparently includes the same
information as the 1966 article. As such, the best approach would
probably be to locate the 1972 book at a library or purchase a used
copy.

search strategy: sherfey, mary, sexuality

I hope this helps.
