Dear djoerk,

I think I have located the great-grandfather of Philip Joseph Seth:
Gregory Seth, born in 1778 in Singapore, died there 14 February 1802.
It would fit perfectly: His son and grandson, provided he is the right
person, would have been at the right ages to be Philip Joseph Seth's
grandfather and father.
Unfortunately, they are the missing links. Between Gregory Seth's
death in 1802 and P.J. Seth's birth in 1852, there is a huge gap, and
currently there seems not to be any data to fill it. Nevertheless, I
thought I should let you know about Gregory Seth.
