I was looking for the song title and artist on the new gilette mach
III turbo commercial. It's a bass heavy song that plays in the
background, and at the end of the commercial, there is an echo-heavy
male voice singing. (not words, just an open mouth hum kind of thing.)
This song is also played as bumper music on the syndicated Bob and
Sheri show in the morning at 8 am every day.
PLEASE HELP ME!

by the way, the commercial is very recent, and features the man woman
and dog floating around the house weightless as the guy shaves. At
the very end the man and woman are floating side by side, obviously
happy with his close shave.

Pentex,

The song is Connected by the Stereo MC's.

You can see the lyrics here:

I looked online for any mention of Gillette Mach 3 Turbo and the song
in the commercial you mention and found none. I then tried an
alternate method which works well and emailed Gillette directly. Their
response is this:

CD's with this track are Stereo MC's album by the same name here:

Connected Album:

and the 1995 Hackers (movie) soundtrack here:

You can listen to a sample online by going to the Connected Album page
above at amazon.com and scrolling down to the "Listen to Samples"
section then clicking on Listen on the right side of connected.

I think it may have been "toned-down" for the commercial so the words
sounded like 'hums' so as not to overshadow the razor. Or it may have
just been hard to hear. Or it may be some other reason you remember
hums instead of words. The words are not to clear in the samples
either because of the bass (which is as loud as the speaking track).

I hope you found this helpful and if anything is unclear or if by some
chance a mistake was made and this is not the song you heard then
please "Request Answer Clarification" before you "Rate this Answer"
and I will be sure to redouble my efforts to find the right song and
right the wrong (answer).
