I am using Outlook 2000 and I want to be able to import phone & address information from a white pages service (such as anywho.com) into Outlook contacts. I am not trying to do this in bulk but just when I find a friend to import without having to copy & paste each line. If this can be done with a newer version of Outlook I would be willing to upgrade. |

Hi minermbel-ga, I believe that one of the newer versions of Office (either XP or 2000) has a feature called Smart Tags. With Smart Tags enabled when you're browsing with Internet Explorer, the browser would be able to recognize addresses, contacts and let you add them into your address book. Microsoft was about to add it to Windows XP, but the public outcry forced Microsoft to stop this project. You can see an overview of this feature here: http://www.zdnet.com/anchordesk/stories/story/0,10738,2771967,00.html secret901-ga |
