This week an interior designer lost a lawsuit where the designer was
sued for advertising the client's name in order to entice potential
customers. I read this on the "ticker" on CNN. I believe the client
won damages of $415,000. I want to be able to read the entire story.
Please help.

I believe I've found the story that CNN's ticker referred to. For
copyright reasons, I'm posting only a brief excerpt, but you can read
the entire story by clicking the link below:

"Man to Pay for Using Fielder's Name
Associated Press

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - An interior decorator who dropped the name of
former major leaguer Cecil Fielder without his permission was ordered
Friday to pay the three-time All-Star $415,000.

A jury ordered Robert Weinstein to pay civil damages for mentioning
Fielder as a client in news articles and using his name in
advertisements for his interior design firm..."

---------------------------

Here are two other write-ups of the same story:

Chicago Sun-Times
http://www.suntimes.com/output/quickhits/cst-spt-1hit20.html

(Scroll down the page to the headline "Fielder socks it to interior
decorator.")

Sports Illustrated/CNN

(Scroll down the page to the headline "Man ordered to pay for dropping
Fielder's name.")

---------------------------

In order to locate this information, I first performed searches at
CNN.com and at FoxNews.com. I had no success, so I tried several
different combinations of keywords on the Google News search engine.
The keywords that turned up links to the story were "interior" and
"client."

Google News: "interior" + "client"
http://news.google.com/news?num=100&hl=en&newwindow=1&scoring=d&q=interior+client

I hope this is what you need. If anything I've said is unclear or
incomplete, please request clarification before rating my answer, and
I'll gladly offer further assistance.

Best wishes,

PinkFreud I'm throughly impressed. I've worked on this for hours and
got nothing. I would give you a prefect rating anyway but the first
link -Sarasota Times - does not work.

Thank you for your great work!

What a puzzlement. The Sarasota link was working yesterday, but now I
can't get it to work either.

These sites have the same story, in the same words (since this was
distributed by Associated Press, identical text appears in many
locations):

Kansas City
http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/5186930.htm

Duluth
http://www.duluthsuperior.com/mld/duluthsuperior/sports/5186930.htm

Bay Area
http://www.bayarea.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/5186930.htm

If none of the above sites are accessible, please let me know. As a
last resort, I can upload the story temporarily to my own server for
you.
