I am interested in finding a reference book that deals with the
reasons why between 1980-2000 the economy grew at an amazing rate. I
am not so concerned about the fall of the economy 2000/2001. I want
to better understand what the motivating reasons that the economy grew
at such a fast rate. I realize this has to do with many factors and
would like the book to include: statistics, government influence,
regulatory influence, public spending habits, money policy, ect. This
should be a book written by an economist or similar type person. I
expect it to be a reference type book. Thanks!!

Hi cjfrench,

Are you interested in the economic growth of the United States only or
the global economy?

Thanks,

The closest I could find from browsing Amazon is:

"The Great Boom 1950-2000: How a Generation of Americans Created the
World's Most Prosperous Society" by Robert Sobel
