Hi jross29!

I found some information for you at "TV Judge Shows.com" - Note: I
think the date in the paragraph below is a typo. December 28th is the
taping date of the episode where Judge Mathis honors Mr. Moran. He
died on December 19th.

Judge Mathis Bailiff Dead at 37
http://www.tvjudgeshows.com/
..."As announced on a recent episode of Judge Mathis, former bailiff
Brendan Anthony Moran died on December 28, 2002 at the age of 37.
Moran's death has been officially ruled a suicide; he passed away
after falling off a balcony. Moran's family disputes the ruling,
claiming that Brendan would not kill himself. Still, it is an
unfortunate fact that suicide spikes during the winter holidays, when
people who are only moderately depressed fall into even deeper levels
of depression..."

Judge Mathis memorialized Brendan on the show which aired on Thursday,
2/20/02.

Deeper in the website, in the forums (very difficult to read there) is
this:
http://tvjudgeshows.community.everyone.net/commun_v3/scripts/thread.pl
..."Brendan Moran age 37 plunged to his death from the balcony of his
24th floor Chicago condo on Dec. 19 2002. His death was ruled a
suicide but his family feels it may have been an accident.

Brendan was not depressed according to his family and friends. He was
buying a larger condo and was in the process of completing some new
songs as he wrote for both country and pop music. He did volunteer
work reading for the blind. Brendan had 6 brothers and sisters and had
enjoyed a huge family gathering on Thanksgiving where his family says
he was happy and full of life and postive about the future. There was
no suicide note left.

There were no signs of forced etry to his home and no signs of foul
play however his heartbroken family is having a new inquest and
autopsy done hoping the ruling will be ann accidental fall rather than
suicide. Another building resident did see him fall. Detives state
that on days prior to his death Brendan was "talking crazy, saying
people were out to get him...and he reported being worried he was
about to lose his job."

Judge Greg Mathis says there was no reason for Brendan to be concerned
about his job and that it was secure. The judge did note that as
Christmas approached Brendan got"a little down over the fact he was
divorced, which I found odd, since his divorce was several years ago.
But other than that he was his cheery self.Brendan was one of the
cheeriest and happiest persons I knew. He was the fellow who
entertained the audience during breaks by playing his guitar and
singing. I can't imagine suicide."

Brendan had worked for the Judge Greg Mathis show for 4 years and the
shows producer says he will be greatly missed as he was an important
member of the show..."

The only info I was able to find is:

Free Drug Zone

Quote: "Some sad news: I recently learned that the bailiff for the
Judge Mathis Show (which some of you may remember me working for as a
paid audience member way back in 2001 when this blahg first started
its long slide to its final embarrassment), a very friendly fellow
named Brendan, took his own life on 12/18/02. He was an incredibly
nice guy and it’s a goddamned crying shame. Pour out a bottle of malt
liquor for the guy tonight."

Was not able to find anything to back this up.
