I have searched court records in West Virginia and elsewhere but found
little on Dr. Oakes. The absence of info doesn't mean there haven't
been suits...not every court action winds up in searchable records.
But there doesn't seem to be anything readily available in the sources
I have at my disposal.

There is a recent newspaper article that briefly reports that Dr.
Oakes also goes by the honorary title of Colonel Oakes.

Perhaps another researcher can find more in depth information. In the
meantime, I hope your situation eases shortly.

I'm afraid the fact that you couldnt find anything is n't worth
anywhere near 75. dollars. I know that he was sued by a woman some
years ago, and there must be some record of it.Please search whatever
legal resources you can find or refund me.
thank you.

Hi mabad-ga. My fellow researcher pafalafa-ga only made a question
clarification and not an answer. So in this case you wouldn't be
charged $75.

Have a nice day!
