Hi douglas60-ga, It appears that using the voice chat feature of MSN Messenger 5.0, with ICS enabled, is just not possible as of now. This is a known problem. Check out the official Microsoft page at: - .NET Messenger Service -- Known Issues ( http://messenger.msn.com/support/knownissues.asp ) At the very bottom, under the heading 'Internet Connection Sharing using ICS/NAT', you will find the following : " - Currently, ... voice conversations and file transfer, might not work behind Internet Connection Sharing applications and hardware (often called NATs). ... - File transfer and audio or video conversations will fail if both you and the person you are communicating with are on computers that have Windows XP ICS NATs. " Hopefully, these issues will be addressed soon. Meanwhile, it has been reported that this problem does not occur with MSN Messenger versions below 4.6. You can download and try out older versions of MSN at : - OldVersion.com: MSN Messenger ( http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=msnm ) Hope this helps. Regards, Theta-ga |
