I've loaded 2 programs onto my sony memory stick. Now I need to know
how to run these programs on my sony clie. The only two places on the
palm software that allow me to access the programs are the MS Gate and
MS autorun - neither of which allow me to launch the programs. Can
anyone help?

If your programs are actually on the memory stick, and you are certain
they are there, then they should show up on your main menu after you
insert the memory stick into your Clie.

Keep hitting the little house symbol (home) and each time you do so
you will get a new menu -- games, main, etc. One of those menus will
be what is on the memory stick. Your programs should show up.

Let me know if this doesn't work. I have a Clie and use the memory
stick all the time for programs.

P.S. You know you have to load the programs on the Clie first and then
move them to the memory stick?

Hi, Mollytech.

The Google editors are going to remove my "answer" but I didn't want
you to think I had abandoned you. I am still working on the problem. I
will handle it all by "comments" from here on out, and I hope we get
it right.

I really don't know why you couldn't install directly to the card
unless the program is at fault. I noticed that your program is "copy
protected" after it's installed to your Clie, so it cannot be moved.
The only hope is to directly install it.

Why don't you try a reformat of your card (if you haven't already done
so). Use the "MS Gate" program. Tap the menu, and select "format."
Make sure you have moved all valuable data off the card first!!!!
Then, remove the programs from your Clie internal memory and
re-install them directly to the card.

I have been studying the "Operating Instructions" manual that came on
the CD, and it is very difficult to understand.

Anyhow, don't give up. We will get this done, and it won't cost you a
penny.

OK, Mollytech, I have at last confirmed a solution at least on my own
Clie. I hope it works for you.

I downloaded the demo of ZAGAT and installed it to my card, with the
data for Washington, D.C., and it worked fine.

I formatted the card, as I recommended to you in my previous comment.
After downloading and "installing" the program, I went to the Clie
desktop install program and changed the installation from "Handheld"
to "card" because the installation program automatically tries to put
it on the "handheld."

After installation, the program is visible and runs on the card menu.
It is not visible on the handheld menu.

Please let me know if this does not work for you, and let me know
exactly what your symptoms are.

Thanks. Sorry this took so long.
