The lyrics to Terry are:

Terry, Terry

He said to me he wanted to be near to me
He said he never wanted to be out of my sight
But it's too late to give this boy my love tonight
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.

He said to me he wanted to be close by my side
We had a quarrel, I was untrue on the night he died
And it's too late to tell this boy how great was
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.

He rode into the night, accelerated his motorbike
I cried to him in fright, don't do it, don't do it, don.t do it.

He said to me you are the one I want to be with
He said to me you are the one who my love I shall give
One day he'll know how hard I prayed for him to live
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.

He rode into the night, accelerated his motorbike
I cried to him in fright, don't do it, don't do it, don.t do it.

He said to me you are the one I want to be with
He said to me you are the one who my love I shall give
One day he'll know how hard I prayed for him to live
Please wait at the gate of heaven for me, Terry.

Terry, Terry, Terry

The lyrics may be found at a web page with a particularly ghoulish
heading:
"Dead Teen Songs or Teenage Death Music"
http://www.nyx.net/~anon52ea/DeadTeenLyrics.html#terry

These lyrics are part of a long list of song lyrics on the same theme
that are described by the compiler as "some of the cheeziest (sic)
music ever written:"
"Dead Teen Songs or Teenage Death Music or the teen death song or teen
tragedy"
http://www.nyx.net/~anon52ea/DeadTeenSongs.html

The listing for "Terry" (about halfway down the page) contains a
couple of interesting tidbits, such as the suggestion that the singer
was dating Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits at the time the recording
was made (in 1965) and the comment that it sounds like a British
version of "Leader of the Pack." Finally, in what I think is meant to
be a compliment, one reader describes the song as " truly awful, but
lots of fun to hear."

I don't know. I rather liked "Teen Angel" and "Tell Laura I Love Her"
when I was growing up.
