Hello michellemck-ga,
Its nice to see you again.
The drummer for the London Calling tribute for Joe Strummer of the
Clash at the Grammy Awards last night was Pete Thomas.
The sources of my information are the following:
MTV News
Two tribute performances stood amongst the evening's highlights. At
the end of the night images of a succession of musicians who died in
the past year flashed across a giant screen, followed by an all-star
tribute to Clash member Joe Strummer, who died in December from a
sudden heart attack
An ad-hoc supergroup composed of Elvis Costello,
his drummer Pete Thomas, Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl, Bruce
Springsteen, E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt and No Doubt
bassist Tony Kanal ripped through "London Calling" with enough force
to shake the gates of Buckingham Palace.

The Trainspotters' News
This from David Bianculli's column in today's NY Daily News: One
eclectic offering is a salute to the late Joe Strummer of the Clash.
Springsteen and E Street guitarist Steve Van Zandt, Elvis Costello and
his drummer Pete Thomas, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and bassist
Tony Kanal of No Doubt will all join in on "London Calling."

Entertainment Weekly:
Grammy organizers had hoped to pay tribute to late Clash frontman Joe
Strummer with a performance by the group's three surviving members.
But the band is ''just not ready,'' says Ehrlich. Instead, Bruce
Springsteen, Dave Grohl, and Elvis Costello will trade vocals on the
Clash anthem ''London Calling,'' backed by No Doubt bassist Tony
Kanal, Attractions drummer Pete Thomas, and E Street Band guitarist
Steve Van Zandt.

Google Newsgroups:
(..)The GRAMMYs will pay tribute to Strummer and the band in fitting
high-volume, high-energy fashion with an incredible one-night-only
supergroup jam that will feature Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello,
Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, Steven Van Zandt of the E Street Band,
Tony Kanal of No Doubt, and Pete Thomas of the Attractions. At a
Saturday afternoon rehearsal, this guitar-slingers' dream team powered
through a fiery version of the Clash classic "London Calling," with
the Boss, Elvis, Grohl and Van Zandt sharing vocals.

Just read on some news website that the tribute song which
Springsteen and E.C. will do is . . . . "London Calling." Damn, I
really thought "Straight to Hell" would have sounded great. Other
info: Pete Thomas of the Attractions will be on drums and Dave Grohl
will also be participating.
