Dear rodferna-ga, 4. Routing is a function of the network layer in the standard OSI model. 5. Dissimilar networks are connected by gateways. 6. X.500 is a directory standard, not a network architecture. 7. FDDI is a LAN technology, not a topology. Arguably, "LAN" isn't strictly a topology either, but it's closer to being one than FDDI is. cerebrate-ga |
