I have also found further information to assist you. In its ITU
Telecom World 2003 conference website, it mentions that accommodations
are taken cared of by the Geneva Tourism. Reservations could be made
at the “Welcome Telecom 03” website. Upon checking the website, I
found this table below. It shows the distances one had to travel in
different hotel locations. Geneva simply being the nearest takes 30
minutes at the most.

As you may have noticed from my question, priority is to availability.
Need to get an answer with availability in a hotel in the area from
roughly the 2nd till the 5th for example, which coveres the mentioned
workshop I quoted the URL for.
Need that. If you can find the hotel, just mention their contact info
and I'll contact them to get the booking done.

clarification. Do you require the specific hotel must be available?
Why not book directly to the ITU website which was the first link I
gave you? Thereby you could be sure to get an immediate hotel.
Would this suffice as an answer to your clarification? If not please
enlighten me on your requirements so I may understood it more
appropriately.
If I have to call the hotel itself in Geneva by phone, I'm afraid I
cannot do so since that would entail too much cost to me. In case this
is your requirement, I will just ask Google Answers to remove my
answer so you wouldn't be charged accordingly.

Hello Easterangel,
No I don't expect you to call them. Was interested in finding
availability information online for any hotel in the area, or the
closest possible, for me to take that information and then directly
contact the hotel myself to book.
A scenario I was under the impression that would be interpreted from
my question is link showing an online site for booking hotels, for
example, which shows a hotel or more with room availability during the
period mentioned on the first link I had supplied in my question.
The information that you have supplied is very useful and I'll use it.
Does it cover availability, online being the most affordable to
answer the question's priority as mentioned, nope.
If you have looked for online booking sources to address the
availability requirement of the question and have not foumd any, I
would consider that as a satisfied question.
If I have not expressed my question correctly when I said "Priority is
speed of locating the place with availability." Please correct me and
that also would mean that you have satisfied the question because I
failed to express what I wanted correctly. Fair enough? :-)
I'm pretty open to dialogue here to reach a mutually satisfactory
result.

Now I understand the question. Thank you Lizardnation for clarifying.
Eden Hotels has aaccomodations available for that date. You would have
to indicate the dates yourself since the link doesn't go directly to
the accomodation page but I tried it and it has one available.

According to the different online booking sites like Hotels.com,
Web-Hotels.com and others most hotels do not have accomodations
anymore for Mar. 2 to 5, 2003. I doubt their accuracy however maybe it
would be wise to contact these hotels as well. It seems that the time
frame is also a little bit tight that's why there is very little
availability. In case you need it, here are the links to where I

I am sorry that your best bet at this point is still the first link I
gave you. It doesn't have info for availability. I think you have to
get in touch with ITU directly so as to determine the quality of the
hotel that is still available.
My understanding of the statement, "Priority is speed of locating the
place with availability.", I thought location of the hotel to the
workshop site was the priority. I am sorry probably too much coffee
already clouded my head.
