I'm looking to buy a 60 to 100 GB non-SCSI hard drive. I want to save
money, but not at the cost of risking getting a hard drive that
doesn't work. What're the best web sites for buying new hard drives
for less $$$?

Hi Gremlin,

What's your budget for the drive?

In the neighborhood of $100, but less is better, and I'm flexible if
paying an extra $20 will get me a much better product. I'd use the
extra hard drive mainly for mp3s and movies.

www.newegg.com

I have not affiliation with them, but I have used them in the past for
all sorts of computer parts. They are "on the ball", great service,
pretty competitive pricing. They're a joy to deal with.

I've had excellent results with http://www.consumerdepot.com.
Just be sure to read the description of what you are buying. They
sell new and refurbished and used items. I can attest that they honor
their warranty.

http://www.computer-show.com/ doesn't always have what you're looking
for but has good deals.

Also:
http://www.computershopper.com

http://www.pricewatch.com/ is a great place to see current prices
from many vendors
