I'm trying find websites and chatrooms/newsgroups that are discussing
the new Hutchison 'Three' service in the UK. This is the new mobile 3G
high band width cellular service.

I'm looking for negative and positive comments

Hello jcs2000:

Thanks for the question. I have a few clarifications I would like to
ask for before I proceed:

1. Are you looking for discussions/chats/websites strictly in English
only? If not, what other languages are you interested in?

2. Are you looking for websites with news stories about this service,
or are you just looking for ongoing "discussions" about the service?

Once I have these answers from you, I should be able to proceed in
finding the information you need.

Thanks.

One more question:

3. Are you interested in information about the financial future of
this service - and it's effect on the Hutchison company?

Hello.

From what I see, the launch of Hutchinson's new "3" service was
delayed somewhat, and now won't roll out until March.

There is a good deal of news reporting and discussion about what the
service is intended to be, but not much in the way of explicit
negatives and positives, since no one's had any hands on experience
with it yet.

Are you interested in having links to the many articles, discussions,
etc. even if they aren't evaluative in nature?

Clarification of Question by jcs2000-ga on 26 Feb 2003 00:51 PST
Hi - answers below:

1) English/UK mainland only

2) More interested in user discussions then web news

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hello.

Thank you for a challenging question, and for your responsiveness to
the clarification requests.

I've conducted several searches for information on Hutchison's "3"
service, concentrating on group "chats" and weblog postings, since
these sorts of online discussions seemed your primary area of
interest. I've also included some recent news items.

The results of my searches are posted below -- I cleaned out any links
that were not related to your question, although I left in those that
may only have a tangential relation. Most of them are on the money,
however, discussing the status and pros and cons of 3.

But let me first say that if you feel additional information is
needed, don't hesitate to let me know through a Request for
Clarification. I will do what it takes to get you the info you need.

-----
I searched Google Groups for [ Hutchison "three.com" UK ]. It may be
helpful to click on the link below to see the search results, as these
will allow you to go directly to the discussions themselves, and to
further expand the results to see the full discussion threads.

A search using the "weblog only" function, for the terms [Hutchinson

I didn't mention this at first, as there was no information at this
source, but on reflection, thought you should know about it anyway.
There is a Yahoo Chat Group at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/three-hutch/

Which is devoted to "Three", and describes itself as:

"A group for users of 'Three' / '3', the new 3G service
from Hutchison. Its open to any country, since Hutchison licences
cover so many!"

There are no postings there yet, but the group is open to any and all
who care to join.
