Where can I buy a Saddan Hussein wristwatch ?? My watch is finished
its useful life and I just thought I would be eccentrically different
and get hold of one of these cheaply made mass produced watches from
Iraq, featuring the face of the great dictator.

Any order would have to include the possibility of sending
overseas and paying by card as I am a long way from Iraq and USA both.

Hi! I never thought of this but it's going to be a nice collector’s
item. Nice idea.

I found a watch you can buy which has the bust of Saddam Hussein. It
is $245.00

It advertises itself as a "Watch made of materials used during the
war". And you know that the store is in Australia!

I hope this would help you. Thanks for being a part of Google Answer.

Easterangel answered the question correctly and as completely as
question format would dictate was required so could give no less than
five stars. Would have liked a couple more options perhaps but
acknowledge suppliers would be very few and far between. Perhaps a
commenter will come forward with another option. Given that I have
found no store or info on net' as to where to find such an item I
would have to acknowledge that researcher technique must have been top
rate

I suspect that due to United Nations' trade embargoes on Iraqi goods
it is going to be difficult to get hold of one of these items outside
of Iraq or the other few nations in the region that are sympathetic to
the Iraqi government. Certainly a cursory search of the web hasn't
produced any helpful results, although there's a nice picture of the
relevant timepiece at http://www.joric.com/Saddam/wristwatch.htm. You
may well have to look at specialist collectors' markets to get hold of
one of these -- and then it's unlikely to be as cheap as you might
expect.

Thankyou IAINT, you are possibly right and I did not think of that.
Also it appears that since you wrote a researcher has locked in
question but gave up without finding an answer so perhaps I am left
with Iraq or Saddam himself as the only option. Not that desperate for
a watch of cousre so probably wont bother anymore.

Gee and I thought everything was available in good ol' USA!!

I can't understand why anyone would want to buy a SADDAN HUSSEIN wrist
watch in the first place perhaps the clue is in the first three
letters of the name!!!!

Gee Russ LIGHTEN UP a bit!! It was just an idea for something
different that was practical as well as doubling as a talking point
around the bar with mates and a beer; NOT a political statement on my
part at all!! If this idea and me seem distasteful to you then what
do you think of that small but growing group of Anglo/African
Americans who are waiting for an appropriate time before they design
and unleash comedy sketches and jokes related to 9/11.

Some might say that wearing such a watch is in bad taste, and I don't
want to pass judgement; BUT, if you ever visit the USA, especially the
South or Mid-West (not to mention any town near a military base) I
would advise leaving the watch at home. It would be more likely to
start a first-class butt whoopin' rather than a conversation. Of
course that's presuming you survived the US Customs cavity search.

Good Day, johnfrommelbourne-ga

You might also do a search on www.ebay.com. They have a few
hilarious items for a search on Saddam Hussein. My favorite is a coin
which shows Hussein being spanked by Uncle Sam.

Best,

What good is a dictator if he doesn't wave?

The researcher did indeed find the exact answer to the question. A
Google search for

watches "saddam hussein"

produces the same result.
