advice on  home repairs, home electronics, gardening, cooking, car
maintenance etc. via premium rate phone lines.

I know of several services, but I want to clarify something - are you
looking to pay just the cost of the phone call, or are you looking for
a service that will work over the phone?  I'm just confused by "via
premium rate phone lines."

The idea is that with a premium rate line you pay a high price per
minute while you are on the phone - probably $1 a minute. The person
providing the service is paid a % of that $1 by the phone company. So
the person making the call is paying for the advice through their
phone bill.

Well couldn't find anything yet but as a business this might seem like
a good idea especially in the US. :)

that I've not found services that state that this is how they work. 
I'll keep looking, tho.
