I teach high school, I want to make a point that while luxuries cars may have a certain appeal, their cost far outweighs the value. The particular fact I am looking to demonstrate this with is the annual cost of upkeep for such a vehicle. For instance if the cost of a luxury car is 80,000 and then 3 years later it's value is 30,000 then it is costing its owner over 15,000 dollars a year. Meaning every day it sits in the driveway the clock is clicking away at a rate of 45 dollars a day, 2 dollars an hour every hour. Who could afford to sleep at that rate. I need specific (not exact but ballpark price) for a good example of this Ie an BMW Z8 2000 costs 130,000 and then 3 years later sells for... |

Hi barrys. For this kind of information I recommend nadaguides.com. It will provide you with current dealer retail information. Here is an example for a 2000 BMW Z8: http://www.nadaguides.com/Values/ValueCategoryReport.asp?UserID=53070E46C9A5B&DID=37680&wSec=1&wPg=1207&CategoryId=1&MakeId=1026&VehicleId=18400&Year=2000&ColorId= |
