Hi researchers,

I would like to find TOP 100 cities Map in the world by
population. The top 100 cities list can be found at
http://www.worldatlas.com/citypops.htm. If you are not familiar with
the world geography, I suggest that you can begin with the top 50
cities in the US by population - www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763098.html.

The most challenge for finding the city maps is that there is no
clear boundary within the city. For example, Chicago city, there is a
population of 2.8m, Where is the North, West and South boundaries. I
have been researching on this for a while, but I still can't draw a
conclusion.
HOWEVER,Toronto is a perfect example(exactly what I am looking for)
city of Toronto consists of five regions: Etobicoke, Downtown
Toronto, East York, Scarborough and North York . The city of Toronto
map is located at http://www.elections.ca/scripts/fedrep/ontario/ontario_map15_e.htm.
In additon,
another map show the surrounding region:
http://www.bot.com/ContentIslands/PublicPages/FloatingPages/AboutTO_TorontoGuideMap.asp.

I will pay under three schemes:
a) if you can provide me an offical guideline for US cities boundaries
ONLY (without map pay $50), (with map pay $100)
b) if you can provide me the top 100 world cities map and boundaries,
pay $80

the maximium total money that I will pay is from $130 to 180. I may
pay for suggested software (ie. $20), if i find it useful.

Hello:

After extensive research, I have been able to track down the exact
limits of the top fifty US cities from your list. I couldn’t get a
very precise map of Colorado Springs and Virginia Beach but I have
tried to indicate other sources and links to these sources. I am
working to get more information on these maps. Some of these maps are
truly interactive and you can find a lot about the districts. The
sources of these maps are also very reputable. I am not sure about the
pricing for this question. I think I have put much effort into the
question, so if you feel satisfied you may give an additional tip (as
you suggested) to cover up. BUT THAT DOESN”T MEAN I AM ASKING FOR
MORE. I am satisfied with the original price but feel free to let me
know about the pricing. Thank You.

Hi Leader-ga
I understand that you spent lot of time on my question. HOWEVER, I
found exactly the same links as you did for most cities since I am
also a professional researcher. I will discuss individual city.

New York City Map: I gave you as example.

Los Aneles City Map: I followed your link, then click on "LA Census
2000 Demographic Interactive Mapping", then accept. The page can't
display

Chicago City Map: Example

Houston City Map: Can you find another map? Because I already have
this one and the boundaries are not that clear. I think you may
agree with me .

Philadelphia City Map: I found your map, but I also find another
better map http://www.libertynet.org/philplan

Phoenix map: I already have this one.

Hi,
I mistakenly hit the PostRequest button and I haven't finish what
I want to say. I think you are on the right track. BUT, for
example, your city of St. Louis Map does n't really show the
boundaries. This kind of map can be obtained from MapQuest with a
simple click. I understand that your search strategy is based on
District boundaries(exactly what I did). I may not clearly state my
question. I am looking for the kind of map (not ward, district
boundaries), which means "a common knowledge to every citizen". For
example, Houston, If I tell you I am living in district A, will you
know where I am living. I guess not!!

You can look at the Chicago Map (I provided to you). If I tell
you I live it Rogers Park Community, I think that the possiblity of
you knowing where I am living is far greater than I tell you district
A. Similarily, City of Toronto, will you prefer I tell you the city
name or district?

Do you understand what I am looking for now? I have n't make up
my mind how I pay you yet b/c you haven't really fulfill my question.
Sorry!! I don't want to be picky on you. You did a good job in
general, because I spent about a week to find what you got now.

have a nice weekend.

Hello:

I understand your comments. No you are not picky but you just stated
what you want. Dont worry about the pricing. Its all right. I will
come out with alternate maps for the cities that you listed. Please
give me some time (24 hours). Again if you are not satisfied please
clarify. Thanks for understanding.

Sincerely,
leader-ga

Hello:

Here are three other maps that you requested to be replaced. But this
is not all. I am working on other maps and I will provide you with
more maps in a short while. I am not sure why the Los Angels map
didn’t show. It is one of the best interactive maps. I have given the
link, please try again. In short, I will try to provide you with other
maps as well. Thanks.

Reason this answer was rejected by tyl2001-ga:
Hi,
Although the researcher did a good job in such short time, the
researcher did not meet my expectation. I asked for maps that show
clear cities boundaries (common knowledge to localers), but s/he
provides me the district boundaries. This is not what I looked for.
I also request answer clarification, but s/he can not provide me such
maps. I doubt that there is no standard guideline for boundaries
because I am also a professional researcher. After a careful
evaluation of the suggested answer, I decide to request a refund
because the answer is kind of out of scope. Because of the
difficultiy of the question, the repost option is not suitable.
