Hi Spinky1,

Jonathan Wolff (I) is the composer of the music for Will and Grace
theme music. Given that I was not able to locate the name of the
musician who performs the piano music, I sent an e-mail to Jonathan
Wolff at his music production facility with your inquiry.

When I hear back from him I’ll let you know.

Thanks
Bobbie7

Hello Spinky1,

Thank you for your question.

Jonathan Wolff composed the theme song for Will and Grace and performs
all the Will and Grace music himself.

Given that I was not able to locate a source online stating who
actually performed the music I sent an e-mail to Jonathan Wolff at his
music production facility Music Consultants Group, Inc.(
mcg@mcginc.net ) with your inquiry .

They responded with the following message:

“Hi
Thanks for asking. Jonathan Wolff performs all the Will & Grace music
himself.

Jonathan Wolff composed the music for Seinfeld, Caroline In The City,
Married With Children and Who’s The Boss as well. At the Internet

From the December 4, 2002 Grammy Magazine:

“Composer Jonathan Wolff said sitcoms allow composers to be less
subtle. For "Seinfeld," he used the slap bass, usually an
accompaniment instrument, as a lead instrument in the theme, along
with hand-and-mouth popping sounds. For "Reba," he uses a lone
baritone saxophone against drums to bridge scenes.

And on "Will & Grace," he wrote the fast, wild piano theme song. "I
can be as outrageous as I want to be," Wolff said.”
