I have a 5 year old Compaq laptop on a Linksys Router. It says "user intervention
required. Use printer offline." How can I get my printer to work?

Clarification of Question by jaz-ga on 27 Feb 2003 20:57 PST
I did that but everytime I tried to select or deselect the "Use
Printer Offline", an alert appeared stating, "Cannot connect to this
network printer. Make sure your network is working properly and that
the network share you are connected to exists."
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

I have an Epson Stylus 740 and yes, it used to print through the network.

then I'm guessing you have a USB router, because, if I'm not mistaken,
the 740s don't have ethernet. I would try plugging the printer
straight into your computer and see if it works then.
