The easiest thing to do, assuming they are a publically traded
organisation (most are), is to look up what's called a "10-K" from the
SEC on them. You can do that at
http://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/companysearch.html . You are
looking for the form 10K from the organisation which will give you all
kinds of information about them. If the organisation is NOT publically
traded, then you'll have to resort to other sources. Try contacting
the organisation directly and asking them for the information, or you
can try contacting the Better Business Bureau for the city the
organisation is located in. You can search for a company's Better
Business Bureau record at http://search.bbb.org/search.html .

Good luck finding your information!

Search strategy:

'SEC annual report lookup'
'Better Business Bureau search'

The NYS Division of Corporations has limited search facilities. See
